By the preview it looked to be a heartfelt with a little bit of funny and with all honesty I was hoping to have more funny than heart.

As we entered the theater we thought that there would be at least 10 or more people sitting down turns out that it was empty.

OK to the movie, the movie had 5 different relationships going on that all knew each other one way or another. With these relationships going on there was a number of different situations going on that is the movie in a nut shell.

I was not sure how Jennifer Connely would do in a dramedy (comedy/drama) although in this movie her character was the one that went through in my opinion the worst problem. She has this asinine husband that is seduced by Scarlet Johansen witch is not that pretty to me but she does have her moments. The Husband Bradley Cooper pulled a "Jerry Maguire" he waits tell he is in a hardware store with his wife to brake the news so in hopes that she wont cause a scene.

I must say that Ben Afflect and Jennifer Aniston characters were defiantly the favorite couple in the movie only because there story was the one that ended in a good way. There story was the one that was rapped up in a nice bow and made you feel good.

I give this movie 4 stars.

Chapter 2: Almost a year!

It is almost coming up on a year since I have moved from Tampa Bay,FL to Camarillo,CA and it has not seemed like it has been that long since I took that long drive across the US. I will be starting school in the fall and try to work and survive with going to school full time and working and trying to still have a social life, as Charlie Brown would say "good grief".

Now that summer has arrived I have discovered that I have a desire to go to the beach every day and enjoy the weather. Ironically now that summer has hit, my car "girl" has decided to stop the A/C from coming out so now it's window's down and trying to go fast enough to get a breeze going "good grief".

I have been watching the "Office" from season 1 to season 4 so right now I am on season 3 and it's so funny to see all the episodes again and to see everything unfold to where it is now. It's good to watch it a second time because there are things that you might have missed that come into play later and watching it for the second time you pick up on it and say to yourself "oh that's why that happened".

I also would like to say that I work side by side with a Dwight Schrute in every sense of what Dwight is from bring power hungry to telling on everyone. This guy that I work with who will remain anonymous also believes that other employees are out to get him as well. For instance he thinks that someone sabotaged his label printer so that it would jam up : ) he also believes that someone spilled some sort of substance on his chair so that when he sat in it it would leave a big mark on his pants and make it look like he had an accident : ) . At times I feel like Jim feels like I need to get out of what I am doing and go after my dreams and accomplish them and be happy. All the single guys and some in a relationship that I have watched this show including myself asks the question " where is my Pam? " where is that person that I can fun with every day.

Yesterday a friend of mine and I where hitting a soccer ball around and not saying a word to each other the whole time after about 20 to 30 minutes we stopped and he started laugh. I asked him why he was laugh and he brought it to my attention that we hardly said anything to each other I laughed and said "that's how guys role" he said " isn't it nice" it's funny how guys are how we at times just want to hang out and not talk at all.

I played tennis yesterday with the Lassen family for FHE and realized that it is quite a work out running all over your side of the court. Also it's not as easy as the tennis players on TV make it look, every time that I would try to hit the ball hard it would go sailing out of the tennis court area so I would have to go chase it down it got old really quick. It was great time though fun to try something new, my friend kept telling me to watch my attitude so that helped to keep things fun.

I also have a craving to go to six flags and ride roller coasters all day so I will be trying to accomplish that and also I want to go to at least one concert this summer.

Gas prices keep going up, food prices keep going up and George Carlin died.

The next step.

What does it take to be a bachelor in this world we all live in, is it money or education or being the right age to get married? When does a young man say hey it is time for me to take that next leap of faith in life and try and live in the same house as a women and know that you will be alright.

Do you know what the divorce rate is in America? Here is a fun little site dedicated to that statistic http://www.divorcerate.org/. This is very discouraging to a young single adult actually I am probably just a single adult now, anyway back to my thoughts this sight suggests that America's divorce rate is at 50%. If you think the same way I do then you are probably shaking your head and thinking that you are disgusted with America and rightfully so.

Now I am Mormon and I have always been Mormon and the teachings of the Mormon religion have been instilled in my life. In the world of Mormonism there is only a 6% divorce rate http://www.adherents.com/largecom/lds_marriage.html this statistic brings me a lot of encouragement to get out there and get married. The site above is actually a good article to read and it explains why the percentage is so low in Mormonism from how we live before marriage to how we get married. The article quotes that when you only date someone of the same religion and then get married to someone of the same religion than it is one less thing to fight about in the marriage.

I don't know how it is in married life only how it is in dating life but I wounder how much stuff is transferred over to the life of marriage, what is nice in the dating world is ultimately you can leave and go home when you are fighting. Now what I see and granted it is only in the point of view from the Mormon side of things and that is this that when you are fighting the only escape is the bathroom or it's to the couch with you and your bad attitude.

Recently I have been realizing that I am not even close to knowing how or what a women is thinking or how they operate mentally I also know that I can not live without them that I need to have one in my life. In the 1997 movie "As good as it gets" with Jack Nickelson there is a line in that movie that has always stayed with me and honestly I don't know what to think of it or if it works. In the movie a receptionist asks Nickelson's character "how do you write about women so well"? He replies "I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability".

I know that I want to get married someday and I know that it is not an easy road to find that one person for some people it is easy and they get to find there soul mate early on in life and that is great but for the rest of us that doesn't always work out that way here is another movie quote from the move "The Holiday".

"I've found almost everything ever written about love to be true. Shakespeare said "Journeys end in lovers meeting." What an extraordinary thought. Personally, I have not experienced anything remotely close to that, but I am more than willing to believe Shakespeare had. I suppose I think about love more than anyone really should. I am constantly amazed by its sheer power to alter and define our lives. It was Shakespeare who also said "love is blind". Now that is something I know to be true. For some quite inexplicably, love fades; for others love is simply lost. But then of course love can also be found, even if just for the night. And then, there's another kind of love: the cruelest kind. The one that almost kills its victims. Its called unrequited love. Of that I am an expert. Most love stories are about people who fall in love with each other. But what about the rest of us? What about our stories, those of us who fall in love alone? We are the victims of the one sided affair. We are the cursed of the loved ones. We are the unloved ones, the walking wounded. The handicapped without the advantage of a great parking space! Yes, you are looking at one such individual. And I have willingly loved that person for over three miserable years! The absolute worst years of my life! The worst Christmas', the worst Birthday's, New Years Eve's brought in by tears and Valium. These years that I have been in love have been the darkest days of my life. All because I've been cursed by being in love with a person who does not and will not love me back".

So I wait and hope that I will find that person that I will connect with and that will love me as much as I love them and want me as much as I want them. Hopefully I will find her soon and hopefully she will be good looking and smart and will like sports or not mind it, don't get me wrong I will be the first to listen and change MY ways of doing things and find a happy middle ground.

Anyway the Democrats can't decide who is the nominee and Ted Kenndy has a tumor we figured out that if we have a 7. something earth quake a lot of people will get hurt or die. American Idol is almost over and Robert Downey Jr. is a good actor and apparently New Kids on the Block are making a come back!?! OK I am not oblivious to the fact that I have fair skin and that I burn easy or that maybe I should not be out in the sun for to long. Before I left home on Monday I put sun screen on and felt like that was enough to last me through the day WRONG!

The top of my head and the front as well are now burned fun times, I honestly feel like I need to use sun screen that has SPF 95 or something close to that. Can anyone help me out so I don't have to resort to becoming a vampire and only coming out at night? I figure that I could just always have a tube of sun screen with me and just keep putting it on but I would like to find something a little more convenient to use once and go on with my day.

Death Trap!

The above picture shows that when you ride on your breaks for to long and the break pad runs out that you should not keep driving on them but change them. I finally had them changed this weekend so a big thanks goes out to ERIK and BRO. LASSEN thanks a whole bunch. You can see that the rotor has been so badly grind down that it is to a sharp point NOT GOOD.

Here is another take at the rotor and what it should look like and what mine looks like, it was actually chipping away and that is very dangerous. It has been an interesting ride to see these people struggle and try to make these songs work for them, some of them are bad choices and some are good choices for the most part.

There are a few things that are entertaining about the show first would have to be Paula hands down she makes the show never have a dull moment. I notice that the other two judges mostly Simon looks like he is offended every time Paula speaks and words come out of her mouth. I also noticed that when Paula likes a song she stands up and dances behind the judges table but it's only the ones that she enjoys, it would be very discouraging if you were to get up and sing and have Paula just to sit their and look at you. I noticed that if Paula doesn't like it than it is a safe bet that the other two will hate it and wonder why your there.

I would say I am a big fan of Simon everyone knows that his opinion counts and if you get him on your side your doing well. The fans that they let into the show are starting to annoy me when Ryan the host is talking or one of the contestants or the judges for that matter, they start there little cheering or screaming. Nothing is more upsetting than trying to hear a person say something and you got little Amanda and her group of teenage girls screaming and yelling for David (the one from Utah) and you can't hear what there saying.

Today on CNN there was a question posed and a poll that was taken of the answers that were given by people. The question was "Do you drive less now that gas prices have gone up"? This tells me that CNN is not all there as a company or they have the most worthless guy assinged to the job of posting questions. Lets get it together America.

My brother is sick and can't talk so I figure now is the time that I can tell him how I feel and not have to worry about him talking back to me. Love ya bro.

Vantage Piont

A very good thrill ride the type of movie that will have you sitting on the edge of your set the whole time. It grasped you from beginning to end and made you think, you just don't see a lot of movie that do that for you anymore. There was a point where Mette and I had to go to the bathroom but we didn't want to miss anything so we took turns going and while the other one left in a mad dash the other would stay and make sure to have a full detailed report of what happened when they got back.

I was surprised that as much as they advertised Sagorny Weaver in the movie she only had a 30 sec spot at best. I wonder if they edited a lot of her out of the movie, I'll have to wait to get the dvd and and check out the deleted scene.

It was a great movie I would recommend it to everyone one that likes a thrill ride so more or less if your not lame and dull go see it.

15 minutes of Fame.

On the CNN web page today there was a story of two people that were stabbed during the horror movie "The Signal". Now the two victims clam that they did not know each other and the stabbing villian got away through the exit down by the screen.

Now I got few problems with this story first off if you are stabbing rampage don't go to a theater to do it no one is going to think your cool or mysterious at all. So this brings me to my next thought that maybe the movie was so bad that this guy could not stand it anymore...so what do you do I know, stab some people that's what you should do right. (Dummy)

You know, no matter how you look at it your going to come out looking like an idiot, how upset would you be if your out on a date and your night is going really well and all of a sudden this jerk comes up and stabs you. Now I have never been stabbed and frankly really never want to, but I would at least stand up and ask him why he was feeling so angry.

This is what gets me, after stabbing one guy in the arm witch also penetrated his lung as well, he moved to another guy. Unless this guy was alone at the theater why didn't some of his friends say something, that seems odd. Maybe everyone was so in shock that they just sat there or maybe it was that good of a movie that even if the guy next to you is dieing that you don't even notice.

Now this upset me because I love to watch movies at the theater and anyone who knows me would know it is one of my favorite things to do. When someone crosses that line and disrespects that joyous event they should get the harshest of punishments. Here is the message don't kill people it sucks for them and it sucks for you.

Oscars!

I am a very Big fan of Daniel-Day Lewis he is a great actor and I have followed him from "Last of the Mahicans" to "Gangs of New York" and now "There will be Blood". I have to put this out there that I have stopped watching rated "R" movies and have not seen his lastest movie of witch he got an Oscer for. He picks the roles that he plays and always delivers he makes you believe his character so I think that the Oscars chose well. As for best actress I have no clue who that Lady is and what ever movie that she stared in no clue, anyone want to let me know go for it. Anyway the Democrats are still fighting and North Korea let some Americans into their country and we blew up a satellite, good job USA you keep on rockin with your bad self.

Baseball season at last!

It is now time to start the new MLB season and I am excited, it may be because I am back on the west coast and I feel really like supporting the teams that I have been cheering for all my life. Now this year to have the younger brother Eli Manning shut him down after a perfict season ha...you could write this stuff any better.

Anyway congrats Giants fans you guys deserve all the hype that you have coming to you.

O.K. now comes the long wait we have the NFL draft and then the long months until we can see our boys play the game again.

Good bye to a Great Man

I am going to miss President Hinkley a lot I remember him the most while growing up. I believe he has represented this church very well and has been a great leader and a awesome role model to us in these times. I will always remember his sence of humor and the way he laughed, he often said that it was in important to have humor in your life and that you need to be able to laugh at yourself. He was a great man and has taught me while I was a kid in school through my teenage years and then while I was on my mission he spoke to me it seemed like. I had no idea that Sara Jessica Parker was in the movie and played such a big role...crazy. Mette and I kept laughing at how Korney it was in parts I mean like head in your hands because you can't look anymore. Kinda of like what you do when you watch someone sing a solo in church and you know they are trying there hardest but it sounds bad anyway and feel so embarrassed for them that you can't look anymore.

There is part that Kevin Bacon is so upset and frustrated that he drives off and goes to a warehouse I think you all know what I am talking about. He turns up his radio and gets out of his car and starts to dance out his anger that was great stuff. I just can't see that really happening that way, we just didn't do that kind of stuff while I was growing up.

Good movie to see instant classic.

007 tricks on your cell phone.

My friend Joey from the air force sent me this e-mail telling me about all these cool things that your cellphone can do so I thought I would share them. I think it's pretty neat what my cellphone can do, I don't know how many times my cell was running out of battery and I didn't have a charger on me.

So here you go hope it's useful.

FIRST Subject: Emergency

The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.

SECOND Subject:

Have you locked your keys in the car? Does your car have remote key less entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end.

Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

THIRD Subject:

Hidden Battery Power Imagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370#. Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.

FOURTH:

How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone? To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #. A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.

When your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

And Finally.... FIFTH:

Cell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411information calls when they don't have to. Most of us do not carry a telephone directory in our vehicle, which makes this situation even more of a problem. When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial: (800) FREE 411, or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all.

Cool stuff.

The right man for the Job

Here we go people this year is going to be filled with debates and everyone having the own opinions with who should be the next President. I wonder sometimes if it would easier to just sit back and wait it out until the big election in November and get rid of some of the drama that surrounds this event.

I know there will be no escape from the sharp talons of the 08 election what with all the commercials and the candidates touring all over the U.S. like some kind of one hit wonder band. What gets me is how these candidates will try and try to find all nasty dirty things out about there opponents and slam them on TV and say things like "why would you want Mit Romney for president when he is Mormon".

Now I might be completely off on my thinking but this is my blog and these are my thoughts so if you don't like it then tough...deal with it.

Here's the thing why would I want a President that slams other candidates about there past mistakes when more then like there own backyard is just as dirty? I think that this year I am going to try and cut out a lot of the drama that surrounds the election and focus on other topics of conversation.

A good Fairytale

For Christmas I went with the my Girlfriends family to go see this movie and I was excited I don't know why but I was. I love any trip I take to Hollywood because of my love of acting I think.

I loved it, this movie was good I didn't have any expectations of how this movie would turn out but I was surprised. It made me laugh out loud at parts, it was done very well I thought I liked the fact that it made fun of fairytales and still maintained it's own fairytale.

The theater that the movie was in was beautiful from the ceiling to the floor with the art work. We decided to stay in Hollywood and have dinner at Mongolian grill and that was good stuff nice and spicy. All in all I had a lot of fun with the Lassen's, Kent's, Wager's and Kruger's and my cute girlfriend.

My Christmas present

This Christmas break was awesome in so many ways that I wont ever forget thanks to the Lassen family. Refer to the picture above for reference to the Lassen clan and guess who is in the picture sweet stuff.

The big thing for me this Christmas was the night of Dec 30 when Mette told me she had something to tell me. I had tons of thoughts running through my head of what it might possibly be. After dinner was over and everyone was talking she leaned over and whispered in my ear that she wanted us to be official.

I was so over come with joy that I wept and wept...OK so I didn't do that but I was very happy, I have been wanting this for awhile. Here comes the mushy stuff so prepare yourself. Mette makes me happy she is my first California girlfriend and it's feels great did I say she makes me happy because she does. She is so beautiful I love spending time with her she makes me laugh and I love to see her smile when I make her laugh.

France!

Here is Pictures of France thanks to my Mother.
<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5146143367834496386" style="DISPLAY: block; I started out this year deployed to the sand box and now I am ending this year in Southern California, it is interesting what kind of twists and turns life takes.

I try to remember the things that I wanted to accomplish this year (big and small) and wonder how many I have done. I think that one of the big things was getting out of active duty and and moving away from the east coast and back to the west coast where I belong.

I wanted to move to Southern California and start school, I have accomplished one part of that goal and that was move to SoCal but I am still working on school.

One of the big things as well was to become active in church and going every Sunday and getting away from the military life style. I believe that I am definitely on my way to accomplishing that goal witch in the long run is the most important one of them all.

I am really thankful for the wonderful people that I have met down here in camarillo and again the Lassen family for all they do. I am also thankful for Mette for all the great hugs and kisses she gives me, I am so happy that I met her and gotten to know her.

Happy Holidays

Tyson

My holiday season

This time of year is easily the most wonderful or the most terrible time of year. Only for the fact that times like these around the holidays should be spent with ones you love and not by yourself. It's weird I like to think of myself as strong when it comes to feelings and expressing them but last night was definitely a turning point.

I was at my brothers in-laws house helping put on Christmas ornaments and other feel good trinkets when I looked around and saw how happy they were. I got to thinking and it hit me hard, I was not going to be able to spend Christmas with my family. It's not like this is the first time that I been away from home because it's not I have been away plenty of times and in places that were much worse than where I am now.

So I want to say to my Father, Mother and four brothers that I miss you so much and love you and that I hope that we all will be able to spend a Christmas together in the near future. Also to the wonderful Lassen family thank you so much for all that you do no one can make someone feel as welcome as your family can.

The game from hell

Last night I could not believe what I was doing it all seemed to happen so fast and all of the sudden it happened. I at first was turned off by the sight of this game and did not want to have anything to do with it. There was something about the game that just didn't sit right with me, it could have been the fact that I had a gut instinct to take it outside and burn it.

The game was Dance Dance Revolution and now I am confident to say that this game comes from the devil, strait from the most unclean, the prince of darkness! I feel like I have some moves and I can hold my own on the dance floor, I not saying in anyway that I am some type of John Travolta, but I can follow a beat.

Now I decided to just give it a try and see what its like, I didn't want to be so quick to judge. So the beautiful girl that I am seeing and her friend told me that it was my turn to get on and dance. Now I noticed that my two friends had left the room, I should have taken this as a clear warning but I didn't.

So I hop on this pad and they tell me what song to pick and so the music starts and I am thinking to myself how hard can this be. This game is from the devil there is no point to it and it trash talks to you so in the middle of looking like a freakin monkey on drugs you find yourself trash talking to the video game.

It's a great game buy it for your kids for Christmas and watch your family fall apart, happy holidays.

2.5 Stars

I recently went to go see the movie "August Rush" and from the previews of it I was excited.

I was not impressed by the movie, I went in to it thinking that it was going to be a memorable experience I was wrong. It was a modern day Oliver Twist with freaking awesome guitar playing.

One thing did bother me though and that was the writing that was done on this movie. I think that the writers on this movie need to really think about what there writing down first before they put into a script.

It hurt me to sit there and watch this so called love scene between the boys parents I felt embarrassed for the guy, the beautiful date that I took was laughing at the lines that he was throwing down witch further made me realize that this was weak.

He said and I quote "sometimes I talk to the moon"...what the hell was that about it was funny to see how she took that comment.

Amazingly she just stared at him and the with love in her eyes had a one night stand with him. I don't know if anyone else even notice that that was what was happening. I feel that the highlight of the movie was the talented actor Feddie Highmore that played the boy.

It's good to see a nice movie though something that the family can go see, it gives a good message. Robin Williams plays a good villain it's funny to look at him in a serious role but he can do it.

There was a lot of times when I was frustrated with how the movie was going, how the kid would be sitting right in front of his dad and be playing the guitar and than have his dad walk away...oh man.

I would say wait for it to come out on DVD and watch it at home.

The Beginning

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_EvXVU8C0cYc/R02-r0wBABI/AAAAAAAAAAk/NW7Mx9XCfjk/s320/blog.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5137972410003292178" />
So this is my first blog and I am excited to get out here and start writing what I think so here we go.

I have recently moved from Tampa Bay to SoCal because I left the active duty military for the air national guard. I am so happy to be done with that part of my life and to be back on the west coast where I truly feel like I belong.

I believe that from this point in my life I can only go up and I am excited to start this chapter and to see where I go and what I can accomplish.

Since my time here in this new place I have met some very wonderful people the Lassen family. Now when I moved over to SoCal I did not know what life was going to be like, all I knew was that I wanted a change in my life and I needed it in a bad way.

So I left Tampa and packed up my things and headed out west the drive was quite and it gave me a lot of alone time to do all types of thinking.

On my drive to California I broke down in New Mexico and there is nothing to sucks more than braking down in the middle of nowhere in a small town.

I took my car to this Ma&Pa shop, the guy looked like he was straight out of the 70's with this Col.Sanders beard he just kind of stood there and looked at my car for awhile than finally said "we'll fix her good".

He than yelled at his wife this kind of startled me because it just was out of nowhere than he looked at me again and said "she'll take you to place where you can stay the night. I'll call you when were done".

So they called the next morning and I was off again, that was actually my last day of driving and lets see I started about 1pm and finally got in to Camarillo at 1145pm.

It only took me 4 days counting the extra day spent in New Mexico , another thing when your driving across Southern America and you enter Texas it will seem as if it never ends.

That state is to freaking huge after awhile it just gets depressing looking at desert for miles and miles.

Enough about Texas and the trip that seemed way to long and all the lifeless desert that I saw.

So I am now in Camarillo and it seems colder than what I expected, I guess that I was expecting it to be more like the south with all the humidity...I don't know where I got that idea from.

I have been to the beach a few times now and I think that I have become more acclimated to the weather (heck yes) so that means I am able to stay in the glacier water more.

I was proud of myself for standing up on the surf board the second time that I went to the beach to surf my brothers father-in-law was out in the water show me how to do it though.

As I said I am very happy to be back on the west coast, I am loving it down here and I don't think that I am going to be moving anytime soon.
